01.What a credit is
A credit is the unit clive runs on. One credit = one minute of standard watching. Your plan refills a credit balance each billing period, and clive spends from it as it works for you. No per-action receipts to track. just one balance.
02.What uses your credits
clive spends credits as it works for you. two things draw from your balance:
- Watching your stream. clive watches your live feed in real time to catch clip-worthy moments. The rate depends on the two settings below.
- Editing clips. clive turning a moment into a finished, captioned clip draws from your balance too. Posting it for you is free.
You only spend from the balance you have, so nothing comes as a surprise. When it runs out, clive pauses until your plan renews, you upgrade, or you switch to pay as you go.
03.Watch frequency: how often clive looks
Frequency is how often clive samples your stream. Looking more often catches faster moments (a 200ms reaction, a quick clutch) but costs more per minute.
| Frequency | Rate | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1 credit/min | Most streams: reactions, plays, scene changes |
| Sharp | 3 credits/min | Reactive and variety content, mid-pace gameplay |
| Max | 5 credits/min | Fast-paced action and esports |
04.Watch detail: how sharply clive sees
Detail is how sharply clive sees each frame. Standard works well for most streams. High detail sends clive sharper frames so it can read fine on-screen text (kill feeds, scores, chat) and subtle facial reactions. It costs 5× the credits.
| Detail | Multiplier | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | included | Crisp enough for most streams |
| High detail | 5× credits | Reads fine on-screen text and subtle reactions |
Detail is set per stream and can’t change mid-broadcast, so a change applies to your next stream.
05.Putting it together
Frequency and detail multiply. Your rate is frequency × detail:
| Per minute | Standard detail | High detail (5×) |
|---|---|---|
| Standard freq. | 1 credit | 5 credits |
| Sharp freq. | 3 credits | 15 credits |
| Max freq. | 5 credits | 25 credits |
So plain Standard watching is 1 credit/min, while a Sharp + High stream runs at 15. Most streamers leave detail on Standard and only turn it up for the streams that need it.
06.Your plan’s credits
Subscription credits refresh to your plan’s allotment at the start of each billing period and don’t roll over. If you run out before the period ends, you can upgrade your plan or switch to pay as you go, where clive keeps working and you’re billed for what it uses. See pricing for how many credits each plan includes, and the Terms for the full credit policy.
